Play only the notes in RED.
Vamp till Cue
means to repeat till a signal, which is 4 whistle counts, denotes to move on to the next section.
a dash - means silent note

Intro:

Audience participation (side-hopping):
one bar snare fill
|1   2   3   4   | v2c
this part is very dependent on Boon or the reaction from the audience, you will have to start side-hopping in the beginning and may stop after Boon gives a 4 count whistle, with only one person playing the quarters, while repeating the "Na-Na" after Boon, and start the quarters and side-hopping again after Boon gives another 4 count whistle. do be alert and keep an eye out for a signal

Outro:
|1   2   3   4   | x 4
end on the 1 of the next bar

"indefinite pause"

Reprise:
repeat the Samba Whistle, to the Pre-Chorus, to the Chorus as usual.

Reprise Outro:
|1   2   3 n 4   | x 3
|1   2   3  a4 |

i've heard some stuff i shouldn't even know about recently.

it was bothering me, felt bad. i haven't felt this way for a long time, and it seems my self-esteem took a dip this time. maybe i read too much in it, but i can't help feeling that something wasn't right, at least wasn't in its right place.

it hurts.

been feeling really, really low, over this.

can't even make out my thoughts.

i'm even thinking of it while sleeping, and seriously, it's draining me out.

how do i get over something, where the emotion induced is something i can't understand?

the HUGE cake of CHC's 12th Anniversary Celebration at SIS.

okay what does it mean to me?

it's when i first came to City Harvest Church.

and the person who did the cake is Tan Boon,
ministry leader of the Strikeforce.

i got this picture from him.

grasp and learn during the battles I bring you through,
get a hold of the circumstances and turn to Me when in doubt,
cherish this battle cos it's one of the closest times I have with you,
enjoy it if you can, because the battle is already won.

i was born to tell You i love You.

came back from Australia yesterday morning at 5 am,
was an amazing trip with my family to Gold Coast, Surfers' Paradise
the beach, the weather, didn't rain at all, the jokes, the funny pictures,
the love, and the beach again.

when people knew that i was going to Australia,
most of them thought it was another performance trip.

as much as i would say that i really like the idea of performing overseas,
i love performing at home more, right here in Singapore.

many people have said that, "oh ian, no problem wan la he."
i get mixed emotions whenever i hear that, good and bad...
they make it sound easy.

some people called me crazy because i can play anywhere,
chopsticks on a dinner table, bottles and bowls filled with different levels of water, just sitting down and stamping my foot, clapping my hands...
what you guys call crazy, i call it passion, passion makes you do crazy things, just look at the Crocodile Hunter.

i always get nervous before a performance, every single one of them, even rehearsals.
i really hate waiting before going on stage, or like Emerge 2006 in Singapore,
just waiting behind the curtains, waiting for it to drop.
it's cool, really really cool, just as it drops and hearing the cheers and shouts and the claps and everything.
my heart would beat really fast, i could've almost hyperventilate or something, my hands would shiver, my palms would sweat, my legs would tremble, even my hair feels like it's dropping.
but when it begins, the adrenaline is pumped, the blood is rushed, your body hair stands, your muscles tense, your mouth goes dry, and magic happens.

the heat from the stage, the spotlight, the occasional pyrotechnics, kinda like just melt every fibre on your body, the cheers, applause just kinda blow you away...
it's amazing, just how God would allow me, being part of this great percussion team, to perform before so many people, how far He'd taken us, travelling, and all the fire He brought us through as a team, and the fire He'd bring us through personally as an individual...

it's been really really tough for all the hours of practices and rehearsals, the arguments, who's right who's wrong, who's better. but in the end for the few minutes on stage performing, it's really worth it.

my playing is a testament to how big my God is, how good my God is, how cool my God is, and how RADICAL my God is.

love me or leave me.

ask John la...
who's John?
you don't know who is John? came Strikeforce same batch as you leh.
eh... dunno... hehe...
.
.
.
it went on, can't really remember the rest,
but this line hit me
.
.
.
that's your problem you see, you don't make a point to take note of the people around you.
that's where you'll fall short of being a leader.

that's the conversation between Bro Boon and i a few days back.
hope it helps some of you as it did to me.

when all is lost around me
when there's no one i can see
my strength cannot uphold me
these things have left me weak

find me in the darkness
darker than the endless space
i'm waiting for Your mercy
You're everything i need

i would love to have so many things in life
there is this girl who's very nice
and those clothes i saw along the street
they're nothing i would need

my life is now in shambles
can't see what's ahead of me
my man-made glory crumbles
it's You always there for me

i struggle with so many things
like migraine, it's hurting me
so many times i'm left crying
on Your knees You were holding me
